Calm Cool and Collected

The client desired a serene, spa like bathroom but their current master bath was less than ideal. Its functional purpose was overshadowed with dark, dated finishes that left the client dreading any time spent within the weary space. Removing all internal walls and redesigning the layout was our first goal. Replacing the beige carpet that extended from the master bedroom throughout the master bathroom allowed our Designer to begin with a completely clean foundation. The oversized, tub deck was removed making room for a generous free-standing tub. Removing the half crescent-moon window over the tub and updating all windows improved the natural light. Reorienting the placement of the shower and the toilet allowed us to improve the floorplan without compromising sightlines. Providing a glass surround on three of the four shower walls further improved natural light throughout the bathroom without compromising the privacy of the new toilet location.  The nature inspired, mosaic tile provided a dynamic accent and the jump-off-point for all other colors and finishes. The two-toned cabinetry was designed to provide the client with both his and her vanities while providing additional linen storage within the bathroom. Brushed nickel fixtures, modern lighting, and wood framed mirrors backed with mosaic tile installed all the way up to the ceiling, further enhanced the spa like feel of this gorgeous and completely transformed master bathroom.
